Hello, My name is Isalys...and I have a problem!

Hello, my name is Isalys and I am a book-aholic.
This past week, I have seriously book binged!!

You see, it all started last Monday when I started reading "Halfway to the Grave" by Jeanine Frost.  I must tell you all, if you are a fan of PNR Romance and you haven't read this series...stop whatever you're doing, RUN {don't walk} to your local book store and get the first book because it is absolutely spectacular.

So on Wednesday, 11/24 while at our usual B&N spot, I simply HAD to get book # 2, "One Foot In The Grave" along with a couple others.

I inhaled book # 2 and was itching for "At Grave's End", book # 3 so guess where I found myself again on Saturday.  Yep; back to B&N to add to my weekly donation.  Of course, I intended to get just the one book, but instead walked out with...

However, while I was at B&N I ordered several more books that I knew I wanted but weren't on the shelf.  These are the books that will be going home with me next Wed, 12/1.

So from Wednesday to Wednesday, that's NINE books I've purchased.
Nine books...seriously, does that constitute as a problem?  I'm starting to think it does!
Thankfully, my husband hasn't cut my ass off yet...lol.

If any of you ever decide to start a support group, keep me in mind - seems like I'm well on my way to needing one!

So this is totally random and off-topic but I simply could not resist sharing some of People's top choices for Eye Candy with my fellow ladies.

I'm not going to break them all down...I simply picked my favorites and they are:

#7 -JOE MANGANIELLO
 # 7 ?  C'mon People...he really deserves to be higher on that list with a photo like this!
And he's 34 years old - that's totally up my alley ;o)

Blogger Hop & Friday Follow 11.12.10

It's time for The Blogger Hophosted by Crazy-for-Books and Follow Friday, hosted by Parajunkee's View. They created these memes to give bloggers and readers a chance to network, support each other and find new blogs to read & enjoy.

TODAY'S QUESTION on CRAZY-FOR-BOOKS:
If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?
I try to not start a series out of sequence for the same reasons that Jen mentioned in her post; I'd hate to miss out on the backstory or on important details. However, I'd be a "liar-liar-pants-on-fire" if I said that I've never done that...although in my defense, it was entirely unintentional, lol. I once read an entire series backwards. Literally, from book 4 to 3 to 2 and finally, to 1. How very Pulp Fiction of me, LOL!! Luckily, I was able to read & enjoy them out of sequence without really hurting the storyline.

TODAY'S QUESTION on PARAJUNKEE:
What is my usual monthly book budget?

In my case, the question should be what is my WEEKLY book budget? Ha!  Yes, I can honestly say that I get new books nearly every week.  Most of you know of our Wednesday night gatherings at Barnes & Noble so it's on a very rare night when I don't go home with a new book (such as the case with this past Wednesday).

Random comment:  I swear that Hell must have gotten a cold front that night because the bitch that works at the Starbucks was actually semi-friendly to my friend Yami and NONE of us bought books that night.  Miracle of all miracles, I tell ya!! LOL

Anyhoo - I don't really have a budget or limit as to what I'll spend on books.  I just try to be reasonable and control myself as best I can.  I will not buy anything right before pay day or if I know I'm running low on cash.  I also try not to spend more than $20 or 30 at any one given point and I won't do that more than once a month.  Am I making sense?!

Well kiddos, you have yourselves a SPLENDID weekend!!
